Planning a party at home?  Up your sushi-making skills or get sake tips from a ‘Samurai’ at these free Liang Court workshops (weekends in November).  For those feeling lazier, A for Arbite has Christmas staples like Maple Glazed Honey Baked Ham for pre-order already.

Worked hard this year?  It is time to pamper yourself, and what better way than to drink champagne at ChateauAsia’s annual tasting – at the exclusive Tower Club (28 Nov, Thu | Early-bird price ends 11 Nov).  Or pair some of Australia’s finest wines from Wolf Blass with a 7-course degustation dinner (15 Nov, Fri), including the Black Label Cab-Shiraz-Malbec blend that scored the same as a Château Lafite Rothschild in the Master Blend Classification.  Take the chance to also shop wines for your year-end parties.

Dinner with “the King”?  You’ve two chances to feast while being entertained by one of the best Elvis impersonators on the planet.  Chris’ Cafe at the Hub hosts ‘Elvis’ on 15th November, Friday, where all bar profits going towards Nusantara Development Initiatives (NDI).  On 16th November, Saturday, Sarnies invites you to the ringside with ‘Elvis’ – grab your tickets as walk-ins are not accepted.

Have kids in tow?  For the young, and for those who stay curious and creative, “Christmas is Here!” by the Amazing Toybox is an array of brand-new catchy songs with “Sheriff Bobcat Buckles and Abby Ant” to sing along with. Tickets are in great demand, almost all shows are sold out! A more hands-on experience awaits those who join the Chocolate Mould-making workshop – learn 3D modelling and print your own mould to make seasonal treats.  Or join DIY bio-hacking at the Science Centre for a morning of informative fun.
