Discovering things to do in your neighbourhood just got simpler and better!

The work day, or better yet, the work week has ended.
You rejoice!
You then stop short to rack your brains for something interesting to do.
You fall back to the easy option of catching a movie or going to the mall.

Does that sound familiar? If it does, we’ve got news for you – your weeknights and weekends are about to get way more interesting.

We’ve made discovering events simpler and better in three ways.

1. Search for events by time, genre, and location
– Filter to narrower time periods
Search Peatix events by event time or period

– Discover events in 26 different genres
Search Peatix events by event genre

– Browse by location
Search Peatix events by event location

*Hint* Star events you like but cannot commit to just yet. You will receive an email reminder of the event closer to the event date or when the event is almost sold out.

Have you checked out our completely redesigned app for attendees on iTunes and Google Play? You can now browse for events as easily as you do on desktop.

2. Follow an organiser of events you love automatically
Upon purchase of tickets to an event, you can now choose to automatically opt-in to receiving news of future events run by the same organiser. You’ll be first to know through email as soon as tickets go live.

*Hint* You can also follow an organiser directly on their event pages, even if you’ve not purchased a ticket to their event yet.

3. Receive relevant event recommendations
There’s a ton of events happening out there, but which would most interest you? We’ve simplified your search and narrowed it down to a list of recommended events unique to you that we know you’ll love based off a set of algorithms (i.e. signals or clues that informs us of your interests, including past events you’ve attended or events your friends are attending). Finally, a tailored events newsletter you’ll want to receive!
